Bates, John Family

John L. Bates (b. 1876, d. 1963) married Alvina W. Kessler (b. 1882, d. 1927). They had two daughters: Clara Bates Elbring and Amy Bates Pabor. John was a photographer who liked taking pictures of the Chesterfield area. His home was in Babler Park where he passed away at the age of 87. He and his wife are buried in Gumbo Cemetery.
